UnBELIZEable.

Just a few snaps from our honeymoon.  Missing those gorgeous turquoise waters and all of the vibrant colors of the islands.

Bachelor Pad.

I just can't stop staring at these gorgeous photos from From Me to You.  This has got to be the most glamorous bachelor pad ever.

I love the smoke-blackened bricks above the fireplace, the bookshelves arranged by color, and especially the "controlled chaos" of the drawer in the last photo.  I feel like my house is like that a lot.  Everything looks organized but if you open a drawer... yikes!

Black and Tan.

I don't know why I'm so excited about fall since summer is still in full swing down here in the Southland.  Maybe its all of the September issues that hit newstands in the past few weeks, but I can't stop thinking about my cool weather wardrobe.  One high-fashion trend that I will definitely be embracing is the camel, which was all over the fall show runways.  I especially love the slouchy camel and black striped sweater and sleek skinny pants combo seen at Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant.

Thirsty Thursday: Marc by Marc Jacobs Saddlery Sophie

I'm trying to get back on track with regular posting and when I saw this Marc Jacobs bag, I knew it would be perfect for reviving Thirsty Thursday.  How gloriously prep-tastic is Miss Sophie??  So perfect for fall.

Belizean Arts.

Woo hoo, so I am now a married lady and J and I are back in South Carolina after an amazing wedding weekend and a ridiculously fun and relaxing honeymoon in Belize.  We are up to our ears in moving boxes and wedding presents but things are starting to come together in the house (finally!).  Hopefully I will have some wedding and honeymoon pictures to share later this week, but in the meantime, let's talk souvenirs.

While J and I stayed at a resort on Ambergris Caye, we spent a few hours exploring the neighboring island of Caye Caulker and we stumbled upon a cute little art gallery selling prints from several local artists.  I ended up with three prints by Walter Castillo and Nelson Young.  The colors in their works are so bright and vibrant and really do match the gorgeous natural palette of the islands themselves.

Drop Trou.

So like 5 years ago, I owned a pair of trouser jeans from the GAP that were my go-to jeans for a night out.  And then everyone went crazy over skinnies and my metabolism went on strike and now those trouser jeans are being worn by a Honduran orphan.  (That sentence did not turn out at all like I expected when I started writing it.)

Anyway, the point is that today I went to the J.Crew outlet in St. Augustine (aka Mecca) and I tried on a super cute pair of trouser jeans and the romance has been rekindled.  They're flattering, they're chic, and I plan to rock some this fall, regardless of whether they're officially back in or not.

PS - Sorry for the sporadic posting.  We are 9 days away from the BIG DAY and I am in Florida in full wedding mode, so posting will be off and on until I get back from the honeymoon at the end of August.
