Black and White.

Yes, it's only February and since it's still cold outside, I'm trying to think warm thoughts to get me through the next few weeks until things start to thaw out a litte bit.  Last week it was warm, summery print dresses. Today it's bathing suits.  For whatever reason, I'm loving black and white patterns right now.  These are my faves so far.

I am more a little bit obsessed with this dress from Thakoon's SS2010 collection.  It's just so bright and summery and makes me very happy.  I am not really into floral prints but the watercolor effect tones it down nicely for me.  Alas, Thakoon itself is WAY beyond my price range, so I've been searching for a similar (cheaper) option.  Here are my favorites so far:

{Anne Klein New York Draped Dress - $375}

{Tracy Reese Beaded Silk Print Dress - $206.50 at Bloomingdale's}

{Mimi Chica Ruffle Front Challis Dress - $44 at Nordstrom}

{Forever 21 Belted Watercolor Dress - $22.80}

Copycat: Olivia Palermo

I love this neutral ensemble that Olivia Palermo put together.  She always looks polished and sophisticated and I love how spring-like this particular outfit feels.

I think what makes the head-to-toe neutrals work is the pop of color from the pattern in her dress.  So, here are some similar (and cheaper!) options.

{Missoni Long-sleeve Leaf-Print Dress - $1290}

{Elizabeth and James "Jessica" Windowpane-Print Silk Strapless Dress - $385}

{Banana Republic Silk Ruffle Wrap Dress - $130}

Send Love.

I am not crafty, yet I really love crafty things.  Thus, I spend entirely too much time every day browsing Etsy.  With Valentine's Day coming up, I have been on the look out for the perfect card for J and I think I finally found it:

Here are a few more fun (but still sweet) finds:

Last year I went on a quest to find the perfect stationary.  I wanted something stylish and fun, something more than just a monogram (which is what I had before).  When I heard about Gadabout here, I knew I'd found what I was looking for.  Hanna's designs are modern, unique, and just plain cool, AND she takes custom orders.  You can personalize an existing design or she will come with something just for you.  I had her customize A Walk in The Park (two sets: one with my name now and with my soon-to-be married name) and here is how it turned out:

Love. Love. Love.  The dog looks just like my sweet Penny.  I can't wait to send little notes to everyone I know!  Check out some more of her designs below:

Empire State Of Mind.

I took a girls' trip to NYC this weekend with some of my favorite people.  We ate a lot, drank a lot, shopped a lot, and also managed to see a few sights.
